2007 William Hill Sports Book of the Year Award Winner Announced
Duncan Hamilton's Provided You Don't Kiss Me scoops the prize
Duncan Hamilton's Provided You Don't Kiss Me has been awarded the 2007 William Hill Sports Book of the Year prize. The announcement was made at Waterstone's in Piccadilly and was carried live on Simon Mayo's Radio 5 Live programme (listen again should be available for another few days).
Commenting on the winner, Graham Sharpe of William Hill said:
The judges were as close to unanimous in their decision as any panel is ever likely to be.
In addition to the kudos of winning the prize, the author also picks up a 18,000 prize (that should of course, be 18,000 pounds but the site doesn't seem to like pound signs!) and a potentially lucrative 2,000 pound free bet from William Hill.
I think it's a pretty solid choice from the judging panel and one that I'm happy to endorse too. If you fancy taking a punt on reading it yourself, we've got it available at a whopping 30% off.
Further information on the prize, the judging panel and past winners can be found on the William Hill site.
