The 2007 William Hill Sports Book of the Year: Longlist
The longlist for the 2007 William Hill Sports Book of the Year Award is announced.
The 15 books longlisted for this year's 2007 William Hill Sports Book of the Year Award has been announced. The books, alphabetical by author, are:
- Sir Bobby Charlton with James Lawton The Autobiography: My Manchester United Years
- Mark Collings A Very British Coop
- Kevin Cook Tommy's Honour
- Tom Cox Bring Me the Head of Sergio Garcia
- Chuck Culpepper Up Pompey
- Catherine Fox Fight The Good Fight
- Duncan Hamilton Provided You Don’t Kiss Me
- Mark Hodkinson Believe In The Sign
- Mark Law The Pyjama Game
- John Major More Than A Game
- Wayne McLennan Tent Boxing
- Richard Moore In Search of Robert Millar
- Nick Ward Left For Dead
- Norman Whiteside Determined: The Autobiography
- Simon Wilde Shane Warne: Portrait of a Flawed Genius
The longlist will be whittled down to a shortlist of 6. The announcement for the shortlist is set for 18 October. The shortlisted titles will go forward to an award ceremony on 26 November when the winner will be announced. It's an increasingly attractive prize as the winner receives £18,000 cash prize as well as a £2,000 free bet. Further details of the award can be found on William Hill's Media page.
