Terms and Conditions of Sale
Price & Availability
Word of Sport makes every reasonable effort to ensure that the prices displayed on the site are correct. With many thousands of products listed, it’s possible that mistakes will occur and you therefore accept that price and availability information is shown as an estimate only.
If we discover a mistake in the price of an item you have ordered and it is to a higher value than displayed, we will do our best to absorb the additional cost. However, we reserve the right to contact you with a revised cost for the order and you will then have the option to continue at the revised price or to cancel the order. If we are unable to contact you or we do not receive a reply to our communication we will treat the order as cancelled. If you have already paid for the item, you will be given a full refund. If we discover a mistake in pricing and it is to a lower price than displayed, we will automatically charge the lower price.
Information we display regarding an item's availability is provided for information purposes only. We are dependant on suppliers for maintaining stock and we cannot guarantee that items will always be available. Therefore this information should not be relied upon. If there is a problem with the availability of an item we will advise accordingly in our communication with you.
Delivery Charges and VAT
The prices displayed on the site are inclusive, where applicable, of VAT charges. Please note that books are currently zero rated.
Under the terms of UK legislation we are required to charge VAT on postage and packing charges for certain items within the UK. Books, which are currently zero rated, do not incur any additional fees but all other products will attract VAT at the standard rate of 17.5% on the postage element of the order. Where a non rated item such as a book is ordered together with a fully rated item such as a DVD, then VAT is incurred on the entire postage element. This VAT element of the charge will be displayed in the summary part of your order. For further information on delivery, please see shipping rates and charges.
Customs
Goods ordered from Word of Sport for delivery outside of the UK may be subject to import duties and taxes. These charges are levied once a package arrives in the relevant country. Any additional charges for customs clearance will be borne by the customer and we will not be held liable for these. Custom charges and policies vary widely from country to country and if you are in any doubt as to the regulations of your country you should contact the appropriate customs office for additional information.
Our Contract
When you submit an order to purchase a product from Word of Sport, we will send an email confirming receipt of the order and summarising the order contents. Your order represents an offer to us to purchase a product and the offer is only accepted and a contract established when we send email confirmation to you that we’ve dispatched your order. This acceptance is effective regardless of whether or not you receive the e-mail.
Any products on the same order that we have not confirmed in a Dispatch Confirmation E-mail to have been dispatched do not form part of that contract.
Word of Sport reserves the right to refuse to supply an individual or company. We reserve the right to cancel orders at our discretion. If we cancel an order, it will be without charge to you.
Your Statutory Rights
By law, customers in the UK and the European Union have the right to withdraw from the purchase of an item within seven working days of the day after the date the item is delivered. Please note that your statutory right does not extend to cancellations of contracts for the purchase of DVD, video or other products where the item has been unsealed or for items that have been specially produced such as a personalised and dedicated signed copy or otherwise specially ordered.

Returns Policy
We want you to be entirely happy every time you shop with us. However, there may be occasions when you want to return an item.
You have coverage under the 7-day “cooling off” period and in addition Word of Sport offers a further returns guarantee:
Should you find that an item we’;ve supplied turns out not to be what you wanted, you are able to return it to us in its original condition, unopened (and with any seals or shrink-wrap intact) up to 21 days after the date of expiry of the cooling off period and we will issue a full refund for the price you paid for the item.
Please note this additional returns guarantee does not extend to returns for the purchase of DVD, video or other products where the item has been unsealed or for items that have been specially produced such as a personalised and dedicated signed copy or otherwise specially ordered.
If the item is being returned because of damage, imperfection or our error, then we will refund the applicable postage costs. If you are returning the item simply because you do not want it we will not refund the cost of return postage. If an item you are returning goes missing and is not received by us we will not refund and we therefore suggest that you use a registered postal service.
We will refund items using the same tender type as the original payment. You should allow up to 14 days (in addition to the time it takes for delivery) for the refund to be processed.
Severability
If any part of these terms and conditions is found to be unenforceable as a matter of law, the enforceability of any other part of these terms and conditions will not be affected.
Modifications to Terms and Conditions
Word of Sport reserves the right to modify these terms at any time without prior notice. Any modification of these terms will be deemed to be effective from the date and time of posting on the site. You will be subject to the terms and conditions in force at the time that you use the site.
Governing Law
This agreement and any contract between us shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with English Law and the English Courts shall have jurisdiction over any dispute between us.
