From the Publisher:
This fine art reproduction poster shows the first of the great Italian "Campanissimo", Constante Girardengo . He was Italy's dominant road rider from 1913 through the 1920's. He was the Italian National champion an unprecedented nine times, including seven years in a row. This poster wonderfully captures the emotion of this great rider. The elegant Italian National Champion jersey, short legged shorts, and very simple bicycle - Cicli Maino was one of the original manufacturers of bicycles in Italy - harken back to a very romantic time in cycling's history.
Reproduced from the original in The Horton Collection.
Printed on heavy poster stock with a satin finish. 24in x 36in
Suitable for framing.
