From the Publisher:
Thousands of professional footballers have gone through their careers without experiencing the thrill of playing at Wembley. John Woodhouse, a part-time player who earned his living as a BT engineer, did it three times.
John was a member of the Halesowen Town team who reached the FA Vase final at Wembley in 1983, and was captain when they won it in 1985 and 1986.
Born in Old Hill in 1954, John played for Albion Haden, Kidderminster Harriers and Lye Town before joining Halesowen at the start of the 1982-83 campaign, a season which launched four glorious years at The Grove.
John's book recalls the highlights of the glory years. It is illustrated with many photographs from his personal collection.
