From Word of Sport:
An evocative tribute to Southampton FC and the ground that saw the many moments of euphoria and despair scattered through the club's chequered history since it first made the Dell its home in 1898. Divided into two parts, it follows a chronological history with a collection of fans' memories.

Evocative and reminiscent appraisal of life at the Dell, when the chocolate boxes and Shilton stood tall. The picture of the actual dell, pre football ground, green and lush, is an amazing image to anyone who witnessed the red and white army in full effect at Channon's testimonial or the frequent last day of season escapes. Fully illustrated with some great images and hugely detailed.

It's A Fact!
"In Shakespeare's time, mattresses were secured on bed frames by ropes when you pulled on the ropes the mattress tightened, making the bed firmer to sleep on. Hence the phrase, 'Goodnight, sleep tight.' "
