From Word of Sport:
Compelling autobiography but one which is naturally biased towards the real achievements of David Sheppard once he had retired from cricket rather than a blow-by-blow account of his career with Sussex and England. It's still a very rewarding read if you're interested in politics and religion as well as sport.
From the Publisher:
Many will remember David Sheppard first and foremost as a former English cricket captain, peculiar in his combination of dedicated cleric and outstanding sportsman, but his time as Bishop of Liverpool in particular has been eventful and inspiring.
